Traffic released on M25 clockwise near Dartford following multi-vehicle crash

All lanes have reopened on the M25 following a multi-vehicle crash.

Traffic was stopped on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 1B for Dartford and Junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange at around 12.45pm today (February 20).

However, as of 2pm, it had been released and all lanes were reopened.

Paramedics assessed and treated one person at the scene before discharging them for their care.

Recovery work was underway and National Highways’ officers were also in attendance to remove debris.

There were around nine miles of congestion back to Junction 29 on the M25 in Essex with delays of around an hour.

It is understood National Highways was dealing with the crash.
