Drivers are facing delays this evening following a “police incident” on the Dartford Crossing.

Three out of four lanes were closed on the A282 soutbound between the junction for Lakeside, in Essex, and the junction for Dartford.

They were closed for safety reasons but were reopened by 6.20pm after the incident was resolved.

There are still long residual delays on the bridge with congestion back to junction 29 of the M25.
