Charlton were forced to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw with Tranmere at Prenton Park in League 1 on Saturday.
Scott Wagstaff gave the Addicks a perfect start by netting his third goal of the season after only six minutes.
Tranmere keeper Peter Gulasci was unable to hold Johnnie Jackson's free-kick and Wagstaff was on hand to capitalise.
But the home side got stronger as the game went on and got back on terms seven minutes after half-time.
Dale Jennings' header was cleared off the line, but Enoch Showunmi was able to net the equaliser.
Showunmi almost got a second from a free-kick while, at the other end, Charlton nearly snatched the points through a Paul Benson header late on.
