Travellers have moved on after setting up camp in a popular town centre park.

Witnesses claimed the travellers broke into the park last night by breaking locks on the gates.

A police spokesman confirmed they were monitoring the situation, after being informed of the incident at around 9.15pm on Friday night, and the travellers left the following day.

The news came a day before a charity "bubble run" was due to be staged in aid of charity Demelza House.
