Travellers have set up a camp at a Dartford beauty spot, sparking complaints to police.

Caravans were reported on the site at Darenth Country Park, close to Darent Valley Hospital yesterday at 2.20pm.

The incursion has been widely reported on social media and was referred to police who are monitoring the situation.

It comes after Kent Online revealed Kent County Council launched legal proceedings against travellers after setting up an illegal camp near the Cyclopark in Gravesend.
