A teenager who died following a crash near Farningham on Saturday night has been named locally as Darcy.

Police confirmed earlier today that a female passenger in her late teens was pronounced dead at the scene after a crash on the A20 near the junction with Eglantine Lane.

Family members have since left tributes at the scene to Darcy, from South East London.

One message read: "Darcy, forever in our hearts. Sleep well."

Meanwhile officers are appealing for information into the crash, which happened at around 10.50pm.

Officers say a red Polo GTI had been travelling towards Farningham, when it was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes Sprinter travelling in the opposite direction.

Four other occupants in the Polo were taken to hospital where two remain, one in a serious but stable condition and the other in a stable condition.

Two men believed to be the drivers of the vehicles were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They were later bailed to return to the police station.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is carrying out inquiries and officers are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
