The family of a popular landlord have paid tribute to a loving son after hundreds of people turned up to his funeral dressed in his favourite colour - pink.
Sid Gibbons was at the helm of The Orange Tree in Dartford alongside partner Sonia for several years.
The 49-year-old tragically took his own life while staying at a property in Greenhithe in June.
At his funeral the following month 400 friends and family members donned bright colours to celebrate his life.
Mum Pam said: "He was a loving son, father and brother who had loads and loads of friends. I was told there were 400 people at his funeral.
"I've never been to one like it. It was a lovely day."
Even though he was born Simon, Pam said he never liked the name and everyone knew him as Sid.
"He was always full of beans and such a happy lad," she added.
The family moved to Greenhithe 25 years ago and Sid, a former central heating engineer, took the reins at the Hawley Road boozer after meeting Sonia.
Mrs Gibbons added: "He was always laughing and joking and making people feel welcome.
"He loved fancy dress and was just a fun person, lovely son and great dad."
The sports fan was an Arsenal supporter and would often enter into bets with older brother Paul, 51, who backed London rivals Chelsea.
He said: "Every season we'd have £5 on whoever would finish the league on top. I won most years but then the one time we did double or quits Arsenal beat us.
"I tore the tenner in half and gave him a section — I've still got my section and his son James has his, we'll keep them forever."
An inquest into his death heard Mr Gibbons was found hanged in the attic of the property.
His last phone call was made to his son during which he said he "couldn't cope with life", loved him and would "see him soon".
A blank piece of A4 paper was found on a table next to a pen.
