Police closed one of the Dartford tunnels after fears about someone inside.

Officers were called to the crossing just after 10am following "concerns for the welfare of a person".

The left-hand tunnel was closed while the incident was dealt with. It has since reopened.

There was congestion on the M25 until around midday, but delays have now cleared.

No more details have been given about the nature of the incident.
