Two men have been arrested and charged following an attempted burglary at a house in Dartford.
Orpington men Oliver Cooke, 21, of Church Hill Wood, and Danny Webb, 20, of Dryland Avenue, were taken into custody in the early hours of Wednesday November 6, after an attempted burglary in Warren Road, at about 1.20am.
Both have since been charged with attempted burglary and with allowing themselves to be carried in a stolen vehicle which was being driven dangerously.
A third person who is believed to have been driving the car has not been located.
Cooke has also been charged with being in possession of an object for use in theft, specifically a screwdriver.
Both were remanded in custody when they appeared before magistrates in Medway on Thursday November 7.
They will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday December 5.
Police have also issued crime prevention advice to help keep homes secure.
Homeowners are advised to lock windows, gates and garages; turn on burglar alarms; make sure your house is not the only one in the street left in darkness; use timers for internal lighting, and arrange for people to visit the property and collect your mail if you are away.
Officers also advise to put bins away so they cannot be used to climb on; be careful what you post online regarding valuables and your movements; and do not leave packaging out by the bins as it lets thieves know what might be in your home.
