Two of three beloved horses stolen from a village stables have been found but one remains missing.
The trio were taken from the paddock in Church Road, Hartley, some time between November 21 and 22.
It’s understood fencing was damaged by thieves and the foal and two mares were led through Northfield Open Space, down Ash Road to the Royal Oak pub, in New Ash Green, where a trailer was waiting.
Three cob horses, Bess, 11, Freya, eight, and Misty, four, were taken.
Speaking to KentOnline previously, grandmother Wendy McLaughlin said she was “devastated” by the theft from the stables behind her home.
She said: “It has been really traumatic. They are my granddaughter’s ponies and she is crying her eyes out.
“They are my life and the reason why I get up in the morning. It has been dreadful. They are like part of me, they are like children to me.”
Officers have since recovered two of the white horses, Bess and Freya, from a location off Shamrock Road, Gravesend.
But Misty remains missing and an investigation is ongoing to trace the missing horse.
She is described as brown, with white feet and a white stripe on her nose.
