There were severe delays on the A2 after lorries collided.
Lanes one and two were blocked between the Bean interchange and Ebbsfleet on the coastbound carriageway.
Emergency services were there to clear the road but queues built.
Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "Kent Police was called at 1.23pm on December 14 to a report of a collision involving three lorries on the coastbound A2 near Pepper Hill.
"Officers attended along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and one person was treated for minor injuries. Lane closures were put in place while the vehicles were recovered and all closures were lifted at around 3.20pm."
