A Ford transit van ended up on its side after being in collision with a car during the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were called out to Birchwood Road, Dartford, at about 5.30am after the collision.

The crew said the two people in the van and the driver and passenger in the car had been able to get out of their vehicles before firefighters arrived on the scene.

The road had to be closed for about half-an-hour due to the collision and police and ambulance crews were also called to the scene.

It is understood no one suffered any serious injury.
