Footage has emerged of two vans racing along a public footpath near Darent Valley Hospital.

The reckless driving was captured on camera between 4.10pm and 4.20pm yesterday afternoon.

The vehicles were spotted speeding after one another along Darenth Park Avenue.

Dave Blackwell, who works at the hospital, recorded the incident from his car.

"They were racing each other using the footpaths next to Darent Valley Hospital," he said.

"It was on the estate behind the hospital and also on the road heading towards the main road.

"It's idiots like these that cause accidents."

The incident was not reported to police.
