They may not be able to hold performances just yet but lockdown has not stopped one concert band from getting together virtually – and even receiving encouragement from a famous pub landlord.
The Eynsford Concert Band has released a video showing each of its members performing live from home.
The Eynsford Concert Band perform a 'Great Escape'
It is set to the classic theme of The Great Escape as the group pokes fun at their current predicament with all members currently resigned to practising at home.
The band dates back to 1972 and was previously crowned National Champion Concert Band at the 2014 National Concert Band Symposium held in Canterbury. They are also registered as a charity and hold various events to raise money for worthy causes.
However, the band have been unable to rehearse together for nearly six months due to the coronavirus restrictions.
But they've been keeping themselves busy and tuning in together on Tuesday evenings, and most recently, working on the musical project at home to "escape lockdown".
Each member recorded their individual part at home on their smartphone which was then edited together to create a seamless video.
The result is a humorous insight into each performer's passage through lockdown.
There's even a brief cameo appearance from comedian and Pub Landlord Al Murray, who is a friend and supporter of the band.
Chairman of the group Ian Page posted on the website: "There’s a lot of us in it (including a celebrity cameo from a friend of the band), so turn the volume up, watch to the end (maybe several times!) and see if you can spot someone you know.
"We hope to be able to perform live to you soon but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this piece of fun."
