Voters will be asked to go to the polls in Dartford this week to cast their ballot in council by-elections.
Three vacancies have arisen – two due to the recent passing of councillor Ann Allen, who represented her local wards for more than three decades, and a third by Cllr Lucas Reynolds, who has stepped down for personal reasons.
Two Dartford borough council by-elections are taking place, as well as a Kent County Council (KCC) by-election for Wilmington on Thursday.
All three seats were previously held by Conservatives.
A minute's applause was held in November for Dartford councillor Ann Allen, who was first elected to the county council in 1997 as member for Wilmington and was also ward member for Maypole and Leyton Cross.
Both of those seats are now being contested in a by-election, as well as Cllr Reynold's vacated seat in Wilmington, Sutton-at-Hone and Hawley.
The count will be held at Dartford Civic Centre on Friday January 28, starting at 10am.
