A raid at an apparently disused warehouse on an industrial estate has uncovered a suspected cannabis farm.
About a dozen officers raided a warehouse on the Manor Way Business Park in Swanscombe on Monday morning and found about 60 plants, believed to be cannabis. During the raid a police helicopter observed the scene.
A 31-year-old eye witness said: "I heard a helicopter at about 10 or 11am and they [the police] had a battering ram.
"There is a guard dog we have seen at the premises but normally we don't see any one there."
He added: "I popped my head in and saw the top floor of the warehouse.
"It just looked like it was disused but there was an inner room and there were big plant pots.
"Then about five minutes later you could see them [the police] bringing the plants out in clear evidence bags.
"There were about 10 police officers and then forensics as well.
"They brought a dog out using a rod, it looked like a dangerous dog."
Police carried on their investigations at the site until later in the afternoon.
