Hermes has apologised to a customer after his £140 package was stolen by a fox when a driver dumped it in a puddle.
Garage owner Martin Hind, from Dartford, received a message to say his package had been delivered last week but was left puzzled when he arrived the next day and couldn't find it.

The 33-year-old checked the business's CCTV to see where his camera equipment had got to and found it had been left outside the front gates in the rain.
He said: "Well I get to work yesterday, it’s nowhere to be found so I check the CCTV.
"He definitely delivered it, well when I say delivered, he poked it through the gate and left it in a puddle."
It was what happened next which shocked Martin most as he witnessed a cheeky fox try to nab his parcel.
The furry animal can be seen tugging at the box playfully with its mouth.
It then appears to fall on top of him before the brazen fox tows away the package into the night.
Martin took to social media to share his findings where viewers seemed just as perplexed as him.
"I was more laughing about it than complaining," he said.
"It is not the first time something has been thrown over – it has been an ongoing issue."
The technician recalls how in a separate incident his colleague ordered some toilet roll which was thrown over the fence.
Martin's business Dartford Transmissions and Autocare in Fulwich Road provides car servicing in the Bexley, Dartford, Medway, Orpington and Swanley areas.
His clients have mainly consisted of key workers in the last few weeks but he says work is still busy.
As a member of the blue lights card scheme they offer discounts to NHS workers, fire crew members and other frontline services.
Thankfully he says the equipment which was lost was not needed right away as it was for web calls rather than a part for a customer.
He said: "I understand they are really busy at the moment but it is common sense."
The driver later came to apologise to Martin and later informed him he had 200 deliveries that day.
A Hermes spokeswoman said: “During this pandemic our couriers are providing ‘contactless’ delivery to support social distancing.
“Normally placing a parcel inside a locked yard would be a good option – but that was without factoring in Mr Fox.
“We will contact the customer to apologise and discuss options regarding a replacement item or a refund.”
