Wet weather forecast for this weekend has meant planned resurfacing on the A2 has been postponed.

The Highways Agency was due to close 0.6 miles of the coastbound carriageway at Ebbsfleet from 9pm this evening.

The road was to be closed until 5am on Monday for resurfacing and waterproofing, for which dry weather is essential.

Work is now planned to start next Friday - October 10 instead.
