Dartford put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone with a 1-0 win at Weston-Super-Mare in Blue Square Bet South on Tuesday night.
The result made it four league wins on the spin and 13 points from a possible 15 for Tony Burman's side.
Charlie Sheringham (pictured) scored the only goal 17 minutes from time, sweeping in Danny Harris’ cross for his fourth goal in as many games.
Burman said the three points were a reward for almost 950 miles of travelling in the space of four days, with the 3-0 defeat at Gateshead in the FA Trophy on Saturday preceding the long trip to the West Country.
He said: “We were down to the bare bones but the result made it worthwhile.
“After the opening 10 minutes I think we controlled the game and we had enough possession to have scored a couple, but credit to the players, they kept plodding away and eventually we got our just rewards.”
It was Darts third successive 1-0 win and Burman admitted: “They can get a bit jittery but I felt we were always in control.”
Darts are now 15th and six points clear of the dropzone, with a game in hand.
