A young Strictly Come Dancing fan got to meet not one but two of the show’s professional dancers on a trip to the theatre.
Holly Hull had tickets for Monday’s opening night of Flashdance the Musical at The Orchard Theatre, Dartford, and was in the bar waiting for the auditorium to open when she spotted a famous face.
The show stars last year’s Strictly winner Joanne Clifton, and among those waiting to get into the theatre was her sister-in-law and fellow Strictly dancer Karen Clifton, who is married to Joanne’s brother Kevin, another Strictly pro.
Holly, from Orpington, asked for a photo, and Karen was more than happy to oblige.
After watching the show, that wasn’t the end of the surprises for the 21-year-old as she got the chance to meet Joanne, plus Flashdance’s male lead, former A1 singer Ben Adams.
Photos were tweeted by Holly’s mum Cheryl, who was with her daughter and describes herself as “addicted to musical theatre and dance shows and parent to a Strictly maniac”.
She posted: “Holly is well pleased, she just saw the lovely @karen_hauer before the show. Thank you for talking to Holly and the pic.”
It was followed by another post that said: “When Holly gatecrashed an aftershow party to meet her favourite dancer. Thank you @joanneclifton @benadamsuk”.
She later told the Messenger that it was the latest in an increasingly long line of Strictly meet and greets for Holly.
“Her life is Strictly and she’s met the dancers plenty of times before,” she said.
“She’s met Anton, Brendan, she’s danced on stage with Kevin at the Wimbledon Theatre.
“She thinks all of them are her friends so she’s not fazed at all when she meets them, but she talks about it for days after.”
Flashdance is on at The Orchard until Saturday. Karen will be back on Strictly on Saturday with her celeb partner, chef Simon Rimmer, and Kevin with his celeb partner, Susan Calman.
