One of the world’s favourite musicals is coming to a stage near you, showcasing some of the best talent on your doorstep.
The Orchard and the Messenger have teamed up to give five families the chance to win tickets to watch this year’s Summer Youth Project, Annie, on Friday, August 24 at 7.30pm.
The project includes 149 local youngsters who sang and danced their way through auditions to secure a place on this year’s community project.
Terrier Darcy (pictured) also impressed judges and will be wowing audiences as Annie’s dog Sandy.
The musical tells the story of a young girl forced to live in a miserable orphanage overseen by an even more miserable mistress. After an exciting string of events, Annie’s presence is requested by a millionaire who helps her to find the answers she has been seeking.
The first performance takes place on Friday, August 24 at 7.30pm with two shows on Saturday, August 25 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12.50 for Friday 7.30pm and Saturday Matinee and £15.50 for Saturday at 7.30pm. Please note a per ticket booking fee applies.
However, you could be in with a chance of winning one of five family tickets for the Friday performance. For details, see the Messenger, out Thursday, August 9.
