A woman has been charged with assault after a police officer was spat at.

Amy Smith was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a collision in Church Road on Sunday, April 8.

The 25-year-old, of Hilltop Gardens in Dartford, has since been charged with assaulting an officer, driving without insurance, and failing to provide a breath specimen.

She has been released on bail to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 15.
