A woman has been arrested after an investigation into the killing of a sheep in Southfleet.
Officers from the Rural Taskforce appealed for information after the deceased ewe, which was pregnant, was found on farmland in a field off Betsham Road at around 7am on Sunday, March 29.
A lamb was also reported to have been stolen from the same field on Friday, March 27.
The injuries sustained by the ewe led officers to believe that the animal had been killed deliberately.
At around midnight on Monday, April 6 officers arrested a woman aged in her 30s in Bean Lane, Greenhithe, on suspicion of motoring offences and offences relating to the ewe.
The woman, who is from Bean, has been released pending further enquiries.
