Dartford recovered from traffic problems on their way to Worthing to record a 2-1 FA Cup second qualifying round victory.
The visitors’ preparations were disrupted by motorway delays which meant they didn’t arrive at their Ryman League Division 1 opponents’ ground until 2.25pm.
It was not until five minutes before the break that Darts went in front when Elliot Bradbrook struck following a corner.
Jay May (pictured) doubled their advantage after he found himself one-on-one with keeper Alan Mansfield and he slotted the ball home after 69 minutes.
The visitors pulled a goal back with five minutes left ensuring a nervy finale, but Darts went safely through to the next round.
