Schoolboy fundraiser Jonjo Heuerman is bidding to unite all 92 football league clubs in a nationwide charity "tag team" challenge next month.
The 11-year-old has already raised an incredible £92,000 for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK and now aims to smash the £100,000 barrier.
Jonjo, from Leyton Cross Road, Wilmington, is asking representatives from each club to carry a signed captain’s armband to their next nearest club in a relay along 10 designated routes.
Each armband will be added to a sash and taken to West Ham’s Boleyn Ground for the 20th anniversary of Bobby Moore’s death on February 24.
The journey of the armbands will be tracked on a GPS system so that each team can follow its progress.
So far, more than 30 clubs or supporter clubs have registered to take part in the tag teams from February 12-17.
They range from Plymouth and Cardiff, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, Millwall and Fulham.
Once the armbands have arrived in London, Jonjo will then carry them to Wembley to collect the England captain’s armband from Sir Trevor Brooking and Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore.
This final leg will take Jonjo from Upton Park, home of his beloved West Ham United, to Wembley Stadium.
He is also raising money in memory of his nan Lyn, who died of bowel cancer, aged 60.
Mum Donna said: "There’s no stopping Jonjo. Each year he wants to do more and raise more money.
"He has grown up so much in the time he has been doing the walks – not just in size but in his ability to speak with people – public speaking holds no fears for him now, he is absolutely fantastic at it.
"It all seems a bit surreal, but when you look back and see what he has achieved, it is just amazing – it’s quite something for an 11-year-old."
Lindsey Richardson, fundraiser for Cancer Research UK, added: "Jonjo continues to impress us year after year with his determination to go on raising funds.
"It’s a huge challenge for him and his whole family and we are forever grateful for all the effort they put in.
"The funds they raise will help us further on our way to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer."
