A 21-year-old man has died after the scooter his was riding hit a telegraph pole.

It is believed the man lost control of his 250cc scooter on a right hand bend in Hawley Road, Dartford, before hitting the telegraph pole.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tragedy happened on Saturday at 8.55am.

Kent Police and Kent Fire and Rescue Dartford both attended the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.

Kent Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
