Young men involved in violent brawl

POLICE in North Kent are appealing for information from the public following a violent clash between two groups of young men.

The disturbance happened in Dartford in the early hours of Friday morning. It started in Essex Road and continued into Orchard Street.

It appears that a group of four men were sitting in a parked car near to where a separate group of men were standing.

An verbal altercation occurred between the men and subsequently they started fighting.

Five people were taken to Dartford's Darent Valley Hospital where they were treated for head injuries and stab wounds.

Police have arrested two men aged 20 in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Kris Hill, the officer investigating the incident, said: “Police in North Kent are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Essex Road and Orchard Street or indeed the multi-storey car park near to Air and Breathe nightclub who may have seen this group of young men fighting.”
