With bargains galore, thousands of students descended on Bluewater for a special event.

To mark the start of the new academic year, the shopping centre hosted a night just for those who have just started college or university.

Students were able to get up to 30% off at the shops, and two for one deals at many restaurants.

General manager Robert Goodman said: “The night was a huge success with a really fun and vibrant atmosphere. As well as hundreds of exclusive discounts and savings, student night gave visitors the chance to meet new people and make new friends.

"We saw thousands of excited students from in and around Kent hit the shop floors.

“Student night gets bigger and better each year and it is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase all the brilliant retailers and restaurants we have to offer here.”

Aside from the shopping, students also enjoyed a whole host of fun activities, including live music and lots of freebies for them to take home.
