A late Yoni Buyens penalty secured all three points for Charlton as they fought back from a goal down to beat Cardiff in the Championship.
Former Manchester United striker Federico Macheda gave the hosts the lead on 56 minutes, converting Kenwyne Jones' knockdown after good work from Craig Noone.
However Charlton hit back to level things up in the 74th minute when substitute Chris Eagles found in-form Tony Watt, who made no mistake from the winger's cutback.
Then, with the game heading for a draw, another Charlton substitute, Simon Church, went down in the box under a challenge from Sean Morrison. Buyens did the rest from the spot to give the away side the lead with just three minutes left on the clock.
The win was Charlton's fifth in their last six games as they continue to improve under new boss Guy Luzon, keeping them in 12th position.
