Coventry 0 Charlton 0
Charlton lived to fight another day in the Championship.
The Addicks went to Coventry knowing they could have been relegated if they lost and Nottingham Forest took a point against Sheffied United.
They secured a goalless draw which maintained their Championship status for the time being, but are left needing a miracle to stay up.
Phil Parkinson's side are 12 points from safety with only 12 available which means they must win all their games and hope other teams slip up to have any chance of survival.
However, the Addicks boss praised the attitude of his players after the game.
He said: "We are not mathematically down but it doesn't take a genius to work out that it's a tall order.
"I thought the attitude of the players and their application was excellent, and some of the football we played, particularly in the first half, was good. It was just that final ball that let us down.”
Charlton came closest to breaking the deadlock when Jonjo Shelvey had a goal disallowed and Nicky Bailey hit the post.
Ashley Cain had Coventry's best chance, but he shot wide late on.
