Charlton reached the League 1 play-offs on Saturday evening, despite losing at Rochdale on the final day of the league season.
The Addicks knew their place in the play-offs was confirmed as Gillingham thrashed Plymouth - who could have caught them - at Priestfield.
It means Charlton will play Shrewsbury in the semi-finals.
The first leg is at The Valley this Thursday, kick-off 7.45pm with the second leg at Shrewsbury on Sunday, May 13, kick-off 5.15pm.
When the two teams met in the league, Shrewsbury enjoyed an emphatic 2-0 win at The Valley in February but Charlton won the reverse fixture 2-0 last month.
The other semi-final sees Rotherham take on Scunthorpe with the final at Wembley later this month.
