Kent youngster Jack Clark has been offered a professional contract by Charlton, a month after breaking into the first team squad for the FA Cup fourth round tie at Sheffield United.
The 17-year-old Sidcup based defender is one of two players offered deals by the club. The other is 18-year-old midfielder Alex Stavrinou.
"It's good news for Jack and Alex, although nothing has been signed yet," said Addicks Academy manager Steve Gritt.
"The situation the club is in at the moment, not knowing which division they will be playing in next season, makes things more difficult. Their contracts will be sorted over the summer."
Second year scholars Callum Christie, Ben Godfrey, Sam Long, Steve Lozano-Calderon, Callum O'Shea and Taylor Sinfield will be released at the end of the season.
O'Shea has been playing for Ryman League Cray Wanderers. Goalkeeper Christie and defender Sinfield are on trial at Southend.
A decision has still to be made on goalkeeper Harry Lee, who missed a large part of the season through injury.
