Russell Slade's first match in charge of Charlton will be away to Bury.
The Addicks, playing League 1 football for the first time in five years, travel to Gigg Lane on Saturday, August 6 before newly-promoted Northampton Town visit The Valley a week later.
Charlton's first midweek league game of the 2016/17 campaign is at home to Shrewsbury on Tuesday, August 16, with Bolton - who were relegated from the Championship alongside the Addicks, also visiting the Valley in the opening month of the season on Saturday, August 27.
Sandwiched between those games is a trip to Walsall on Saturday, August 20.
Charlton's first clash with local rivals Millwall will be at The New Den on Saturday, October 8 and Slade then takes his side to face Gillingham at Priestfield on Saturday, October 22.
Boxing Day sees the Addicks travel to MK Dons in what was a Championship fixture last season, while their first game of 2017 will be at home to Bristol Rovers, who were playing non-league football just two years ago, on Monday, January 2.
The return match against Millwall has been scheduled for Saturday, January 14, with Gillingham due to visit The Valley on East Monday, April 17.
Charlton end the season at home to Swindon on Sunday, April 30.
Meanwhile, the Addicks have been drawn away to League 2 newcomers Cheltenham Town in the first round of the rebranded EFL Cup. The tie will be played in the week commencing August 8.
