Charlton caretaker manager Phil Parkinson has signed Sheffield United winger Keith Gillespie on loan.

The Northern Ireland international has moved to The Valley until January 3 and is eligible to play against QPR at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.

Gillespie only signed a new deal at Bramall Lane in the summer, but has fallen down the pecking order during the first half of this season.

The 33-year-old right-winger has only played once for the Blades during the campaign when he came on as a late substitute in the 1-1 draw with Coventry in September.

However, he did play the full game for his country in a 1-0 defeat against Hungary last Wednesday to win his 86th cap.
