Dartford have extended the loan deal of Amrit Bansal-McNulty until the end of the season.

The QPR midfielder has made a big impression on Darts boss Steve King.

He scored on his debut before collecting a red card at Chippenham but his class stood out again during the midweek Kent Senior Cup semi-final win over Phoenix Sports.

“McNulty is one of those players who gets you off your feet, he gets the fans up,” said King.

“We know things are not going to come off sometimes but that’s when you have the people behind him to support him. If he loses it, then we can win it back.

“Some of the football McNulty played on Tuesday night was excellent, his feet are amazing, it’s another level. Obviously, there’s parts of his game that I need to stop him doing in certain places of the pitch and make sure we’re protecting that if it breaks down on him, but you can’t stop his ability and what he’s got.

“That shot and lob he did in the first half, I didn’t even see it coming. It was a great save by their keeper, who I thought did really well – he was a sweeper keeper who came off his line well.”

King was also impressed with Liam Nash, who scored twice and was only denied a hat-trick in the last minute by the offside flag.

Nash has taken his goals well since joining the Darts but King wants him to bring more to the table.

“Nashy’s finishes were fantastic,” added King. “He’s always scoring but his overall game just needs to get better and we spoke about that.

“We had a good chat about it, I want him in games for 90 minutes or in good parts of games, not just 10 minutes here and there.

“Like he did in the last 20 minutes, he was in the game all the time. He needs to bring that more, not take too many touches, play it off and spin in behind where he can get it back rather than touch, touch, touch.

“He’s a goalscorer, he’s sharp in the box. When it goes in the box, he comes alive.”
