Dartford manager Tony Burman is keen to give youth a chance this season.

Several academy players gained Conference Premier experience last season and now Burman feels they could be ready to make a bigger contribution.

Burman has a squad of 16 already contracted and is seeking “one or two more” additions. The club’s kids will be required to fill the gaps.

“We’ve got some good young players coming through,” said Burman.

“We want them to be part of the squad. They had some experience last season and now they will be stronger.

“Training with the squad last season will have helped and although we could send some out on loan I’m expecting them to be knocking on my door soon.”

Players such as Ronnie Vint, Becka-Kah Dembele, Ebrima Adams, Bode Anidugbe and Kieran Scantlebury will be hoping to play a part next season.

All are expected to be involved in what is a busy weekend. Burman’s men travel to Canvey Island on Saturday and face Greenwich Borough at Princes Park on Sunday (1pm).
