Dartford are back in the National League South play-off positions and manager Tony Burman is keen for them to consolidate fifth place this weekend.

A round-trip of almost 400 miles awaits the Darts as they travel to struggling Weston-super-Mare.

They’ve been in and out of the top-five since January and are level on points with sixth-placed Truro, who have two games in hand.

Truro host Chelmsford this weekend while Gosport, in fourth, are up against leaders Ebbsfleet at Stonebridge Road.

Burman said: “We’ve got in there a few times and need to try to win that next game or get something from that next game.

Hopefully, others may not get the results they want. They’re all tough games and I’m not too sure what the pitch situation is like at Weston."

Dartford, who lost 2-1 at home to Concord on Saturday, came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Hayes & Yeading on Tuesday.

They make the long trip west having lost only one of their last eight away games in National League South but with two injury concerns.

Centre-half Ronnie Vint took a bad knock to his ankle at Hayes & Yeading and had to be substituted before half-time. Meanwhile captain Elliot Bradbrook – who scored the equaliser at York Road – has a slight hamstring problem.

Fellow midfielder Barry Cogan returns to the squad and Lee Noble is getting closer to full fitness after coming off the bench for the last 15 minutes in Berkshire.
