More talented youngsters are emerging at Dartford – and manager Tony Burman will get them involved with the first-team this summer.

Academy graduate Ebou Adams made such a big impact last season that Norwich City signed him on transfer deadline day.

Ronnie Vint was a regular in central defence and Kaka Dembele also featured in National League South, while Ben Francis scored in the Kent Senior Cup final win over Charlton.

Now other stars of the future are catching Burman’s eye.

He said: "We’ll have about eight academy guys training with us in pre-season and there’s one or two surprises in there.

"Potential-wise, the standard of those guys coming through bodes well for the future. There’s definitely potential in a couple of them.

"We’ll have closer look at them in pre-season and see what happens. It gives you a lot of encouragement and pleasure.

"We decided that’s the way we’re going. The development squads and the academy squads, the production line got into place last year.

"I want to let everybody know, whether they’re in the development or the academy squads, that there’s a route through."
