Dartford 3 Sutton Utd 6 - match report

By: Andrew Gidley

Published: 17:20, 05 November 2016

Elliot Bradbrook scored twice as Dartford bowed out of the FA Cup in a nine-goal Bonfire Night First Round cracker at Princes Park.

Darts pegged back their Vanarama National League opponents three times, before Sutton took control in the final half-hour as two-goal Roarie Dennis and Ross Stearn put the tie beyond doubt.

The defending would probably have been a nightmare for both managers, but it was great entertainment for the neutrals.

Max Biamou fired Sutton in front inside 40 seconds of the start, stabbing the ball home from close-range after a cross from the right following a quick break.

Bradbook levelled six minutes later - picking up the ball 25-yards from goal, before shooting low inside Sutton keeper Ross Worner's right hand post.

Roarie Deacon restored Sutton's lead on the quarter-hour, with a low strike from around the edge of the area, before Bradbrook made it 2-2 from the penalty spot, after Eastmond was adjudged to have handled in the box.

Sutton skipper Jamie Collins was booked for dissent before, Bradbrook stuck away the spot-kick.

Sutton looked dangerous every time they attacked, and Biamou got their third after 23 minutes.

A short corner was played into him on the right, and he took a touch before shooting home.

Moments earlier he had been clutching his right leg on the touchline, before playing on without needing treatment.

Dune Ofori-Acheamponmg made it 3-3 after 51 minutes after Luke Wanadio hit the post.

Deacon then got his second with a left-foot finish inside Ibrahim's left hand post, with seven minutes remaining before Stearn added number six in stoppage-time.
