Dartford are out of the FA Trophy after losing their first round replay 1-0 at Forest Green on Tuesday night.
Saturday's 1-1 draw between the sides at Princes Park had halted the Darts' losing run but this result means they have suffered eight defeats in their last nine games.
Adam Birchall (pictured) missed an early chance for Dartford, firing over from close range, before Danny Wright headed just wide at the other end.
The only goal came out of the blue on 34 minutes. Matthew Barnes-Homer picked up the ball from Ed Asafu-Adjaye and thumped a low shot past goalkeeper Phil Smith.
Barnes-Homer nearly doubled Forest Green's lead on the stroke of half-time but this time Smith was equal to his effort.
The Darts gradually grew into the game after the interval and Elliot Bradbrook drilled a shot over when the home side failed to cut out a cross.
Forest Green almost made it 2-0 when Stoke loanee James Alabi drew a good save from Smith, with Wright unable to score the rebound.
The closest Dartford came to keeping the tie alive was in stoppage-time, when substitute Max Cornhill planted a header just past the post.
