Professional clubs are monitoring Dartford youngsters Ebou Adams and Ronnie Vint as the pair continue to impress in their breakthrough season.

Midfielder Adams and defender Vint came through the Darts academy and signed senior contracts in April, since when they’ve gone from strength to strength.

Co-chairman Steve Irving confirmed the pair are being watched and admitted both could leave – for the right price.

He said: "Both of them are outstanding prospects. With the supporters’ hat on, you want them to be with us for years to come, grow with us and succeed and win trophies and medals. But the financial hat says these boys are good enough to go on to full-time careers.

"That would make us proud to see those boys move from our academy on to a full-time career.

"We’ve got scouts coming all the time, not just looking at the two of them. There’s four or five of our past academy players and current academy players that are being watched.

"It’s certainly going to be a new era of producing young players. That might not always be young players that are going to progress with us but young players that perhaps, from a financial point of view and with the chairman’s hat on, we sell on to pro clubs.

"We nurture the young players and then we have to hand them over to a pro club but get some sort of recompense which will help us to then invest in the youth and redevelop.

"It’s two-fold. It’s developing the players to become good first-team players and it’s also developing boys to get into pro clubs.

"The financial side of things is the most important thing, that we keep reinvesting in our youth and our structure until we get to a position where everything is absolutely right and those young players are going to stay with us because we are progressing.

"But certainly, in the short-term, it’s one of those things where you utilise your assets in the best way for the future of the club."
