Midfielder Noor Husin is good enough to return to the Football League.

That’s the verdict of Dartford boss Steve King, who persuaded the 22-year-old to join the National League South play-off chasers.

Husin made 12 appearances for League 2 Stevenage this season but his contract ran out in January and King made his move after a switch to Gothenburg failed to materialise.

“He was at Stevenage and played a number of games for them this season,” explained King.

“I knew his contract ran out at the end of January so I told him to consider us if it didn’t work out in Sweden.

“He’s a friend of Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong and he told Noor to sign for us. He went out to Sweden and the deal fell through.

“I’ve told him just to come and play for us until the end of the season and he’s bought into that.

“I think he is good enough for League football – he’s only 22. He’s got games under his belt already and is a good age to go again.”

Husin linked up well with fellow new recruit Jack Jebb against Eastbourne on Saturday – and King was encouraged by what he saw.

“He is very intelligent, good

on the ball,” said King. “You could see an instant connection with Jack Jebb which was exciting.

“I’m not saying they set the world alight but there were little things that I liked.

“They are going to get better and better the more they play together as well.

“They will improve the team and that’s what I will always do. I will only bring players in that will add something different to what we’ve got.”

Dartford host leaders Wealdstone this Saturday at Princes Park.

Dean Brennan’s side sit top of the table and King expects them to win the title, regardless of the outcome.

“It’s going to be a tough ask for us,” said King, who managed Brennan during his time at Lewes.

“It’s a free hit in many ways as they are top of the league. I think they will eventually win the league.

“I know the manager and his assistant (Stuart Maynard) very well, I see them out at games a lot so they work very hard at their jobs.

“It will be good to see how far we’ve come.”
