Dartford defender Tom Wynter faces a spell on the sidelines after injuring his ankle on Monday night.

Wynter suffered a "small hairline fracture" during the Kent Senior Cup tie against Welling at Princes Park, which the Darts won 3-1. He went for an X-ray on Tuesday morning.

That was only his fourth appearances for Dartford, having joined from Dover last month.

Wynter, normally a left-back, covered for the suspended Tom Gardiner at centre-half against Hemel Hempstead on Saturday as Tony Burman's side came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

Dartford are also missing right-back Lee Burns with an ankle injury, while summer signing Danny Fitzsimons - another left-back - is set to miss the whole season with serious knee damage.

The club have just extended Mark Onyemah's loan deal from Luton for another month so he's likely to continue at left-back in Wynter's absence.
