Dartford's player-of-the-season Alan Julian has left the club.

The former Gills goalkeeper was one of the few consistent performers across a season which saw the Darts relegated from Skrill Premier - but he's already found a new club.

Dartford manager Tony Burman said: "Obviously there are always going to be departures at this time of year and even though new terms have been offered to Alan Julian for next season, he has decided to accept an offer from another club.

"With all due respect to Alan, it was an offer he couldn’t refuse."

However, five other players have agreed new deals at Princes Park.

Long-term Darts Danny Harris, Ryan Hayes, Lee Burns and Lee Noble are all back on board for the 2014/15 campaign, while Max Cornhill - a new arrival last summer - has also signed.

Burman has now spoken to most of last season's squad and is "waiting for replies from other members of the squad as to their intentions for next season."

Meanwhile, striker Jason Prior and winger Ben Swallow have both been released. Prior signed for Ryman League Premier Division side Margate on Friday.

Burman said: "I would like to thank all three players (including Julian) for their help last season and wish them all the best for the future.

"Ben, who lives in Cardiff wants to stay more local to his hometown."
