Tony Burman believes the next three months will be massive for Dartford and has predicted a big shake-up in National League South.

Darts are five unbeaten in the league and they climbed into the top half with a 4-2 win over Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.

And with games in hand over all but one of the sides above them, Dartford are well placed to make an assault on the play-off places.

Burman said: "We’ve got a massive few months coming up. We’ve got to get through to the end of February and this league will be turned upside-down again as far as I’m concerned.

"The next three months are important. You’ve got to play in a certain type of way and you’ve got to be on your game consistently over a number of games for that period.

"If you’re there or thereabouts at the end of February, that’s the business end of the season.

"Pitches and conditions are completely different. It’s a case of who’s prepared the best."

Dartford are working to a three-year plan as they bid to return to the National League but Burman believes his young side are good enough to reach the play-offs this season.

He said: "I would honestly hope so. The next period is crucial. We’ve got to make opportunities and turn things around.

"I would like to think we will be top-half and in there. For me, you’ve got to time your run (into the play-offs)."
