Dartford boss Tony Burman calls for supporters to pump up the volume

Dartford manager Tony Burman has called on the club’s fans to give their players an extra boost this weekend.
Darts have gone three league games without a win for the first time since the opening fortnight of the season.
It means they have dropped behind the pace in the National League South title race and Burman wants to hear the supporters at home to Bath on Saturday.
“When it isn’t going quite right, we’ll get a 12th man at home with the supporters,” said Burman.
“We’ve had some good times this season and maybe we just need that support on Saturday to get behind us and give us the lift that we might need.
“The players want to do well, I’m not disputing how hard they work but it might be they need a buzz.
“They’ve been brilliant supporters, we know that, but we might need that extra boost on Saturday because of the two results we’ve just had.”
Darts drew at Oxford City on Saturday after conceding a last-gasp equaliser before a keenly-contested goalless derby at Welling on Tuesday night.
Burman’s men have scored just once in the last three games but the manager is not going to press the panic button.
“It’s not a worry,” he insisted. “We’ve got to do better.
“We’ve got a number of goalscorers, even at set pieces. I don’t care who scores as long as it’s someone.
“I’m not interested in ‘I’ve got to go out and get a top goalscorer’. If he was available I wouldn’t be able to afford him probably! It’s so easy for people to say but we’ve had a lot of players who have scored for us.
“A couple of them were off the boil, and that’s not just the forwards - there were other players in the team as well. We’ve got to put that right.
“I don’t have a revolving door. If it was going dreadfully wrong then there’d be changes. I want to improve the players, they’ve been brilliant for me and this club, and they’ll continue to be brilliant.
“There’s no feeling sorry at this stage of the season. You can’t feel sorry and pick them up - they’ve now got to perform. They’ve got to do what we ask them to do.
