Dartford have confirmed striker Andy Pugh will be staying with them next season.

Pugh has made 28 appearances for the Darts during an injury-hit campaign, scoring five goals, having joined them last summer after leaving Cambridge United.

That transfer followed a brief loan spell at Princes Park last season.

The former Gillingham and Welling striker suffered a torn testicle during a match in November and didn't start another game until February.

Pugh, who coaches Dartford's academy players, is now back to fitness and the news of his extended deal follows Lee Noble's decision last week to stay with the north Kent club for another year.

Darts boss Tony Burman said: "We have taken up Andy's option on his contract for next season.

"I am looking forward to working with Andy again, not only with the academy but with the first-team squad.

"We all realise that Andy had an unfortunate injury this year where we lost him for three months of the season and I'm hoping that all that is behind him and we can look forward to the start of next season."
