Kent are through to the English Senior Men's County Finals after a convincing display at the South Eastern Group qualifier.

Eleven county teams battled it out over two rounds at East Sussex National, but Sene Valley's Martin Farbrace, Bob Florence, Matt Jarvis and Phil Judge, all of Rochester & Cobham, Danny Holmes of The London Club and Wildernesse's Richard Partridge put them all in the shade, beating next-best Surrey by six shots.

Sussex, Hertfordshire, a combined Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire side, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hampshire, Middlesex and Bedfordshire also took part.

Of 66 players Holmes was the only player to shoot under par, scoring three under after rounds of 74 and 67 for 141 to win the individual event as well as team honours.

The finals will take place at Rothley Park in Leicestershire on October 4-6.
