Tony Burman admitted Dartford's home defeat to FC Halifax Town was a case of "three points dropped."

Darts, who took an early lead through Harry Crawford, played against 10 men for 55 minutes and nine men for 18 minutes following the dismissals of Halifax players Lois Maynard and James Bolton.

But they failed to really trouble goalkeeper Matt Glennon and lost the game 2-1.

"From our point of view, it’s three points dropped," Burman said. "With them going down to 10 men, we haven’t taken advantage.

"You’re up against it when you go down to 10 men but they had some big guys who ended up winning more balls than we could do. You’ve got to want to get across people, you’ve got to want to make something happen and unfortunately, with the balls in the box, we didn’t manage to do that.

"There was effort but you’ve got to have the quality as well. The quality came through in spells but not enough.

"We’ve had a go - for obvious reasons we’ve had a lot of possession - and we’ve got balls in there but you’ve got to have someone in there who can put the ball in the back of the net."
