Tony Burman admitted his Dartford players ran out of steam against Kidderminster on Sunday.

Darts started really well and led 1-0 at half-time but they spent much of the second period in their own half before two late goals from Marvin Johnson fired Harriers to a 2-1 win.

Burman said: "I thought the lads worked really hard – and unfortunately that work-rate in the first half caused us problems in the second half. The players’ fitness levels probably weren’t quite up to what they should be because of not playing or injuries.

"Kidderminster are a decent side and they got stronger in the second half.

"We still had chances – but we didn’t cause them as many problems in the second half as we did in the first. That was a little bit to do with how they played but fatigue did set in for a number of our players.

"I felt we were decent in the first half and suffered the consequences in the second half with the fitness levels."
